While this isn’t a far trip outside of Richmond, I thought I should share what we do while in town and not on the road. We celebrate the country in a grand way obviously.

This video is from awhile ago. It’s from the first part of our trip in April when we were in Harrisonburg, VA for MacRock. We tried to upload it then but was unable to get it to work.

So now you can enjoy Brittany’s fascination with hotel ice machines, particularly the one at the Econo Lodge in Harrisonburg.

[12:28am Edit: If you were unfamiliar with what an awkward idiot I am, this video is your first step on a long journey of discovery. But seriously y’all, the ice machine gave you THE PERFECT amount of ice. They really thought this one through and I for one appreciate the effort! This ice machine love affair lasted the entire trip. Everywhere we stayed I needed to check out the ice machine. I would rate my stay by the ice machine. ie Red Roof Inn, awesome and nice. Red Roof Inn, one out of two ice machines were BROKEN.-Brit]

This is my mother’s 2nd grade class photo. This is the year she met Mary. I thought some of you might want to see what the beginning of a 50 year friendship looks like after… it looks like tube socks and bad haircuts.

Linda is on the top row, third in from the right side. Note the red hair and awful bangs.

Mary is on the bottom row, second from the left. Note the socks, they were her brothers.
