This is my mother’s 2nd grade class photo. This is the year she met Mary. I thought some of you might want to see what the beginning of a 50 year friendship looks like after… it looks like tube socks and bad haircuts.

Linda is on the top row, third in from the right side. Note the red hair and awful bangs.

Mary is on the bottom row, second from the left. Note the socks, they were her brothers.
